Graduate Aid Initiative
In February 2007, President Zimmer announced that the University will make additional funding available to new doctoral students in the Social Sciences and Humanities Divisions beginning Autumn 2007. Also, doctoral students in the Social Sciences, Humanities, and Divinity who matriculated in or after 2003 and are receiving University financial aid, will receive health insurance for the balance of the initial five years of study. President Zimmer's announcement is available here. For more details, contact your area Dean of Students.
In addition to the Graduate Aid Initiative, additional University funding exists to varying degrees within the Graduate Divisions and Professional Schools as well as through a variety of programs administered by the Office of Graduate Affairs.
Because funding decisions are largely made by the individual academic units, please refer to this page for Financial Aid information pertaining to the Division or School to which you have been admitted.
